In the high country of Colorado, danger sometimes causes enemies to work together . . . and fall in love.
As the only one of her siblings who hasn’t married, Clementine Oakley feels left behind. But she does her best to focus on her candy-making business, hoping to someday have a shop of her own instead of a lone counter in Worth’s General Store. Giving and outgoing, she makes friends with everyone in town—except for one person, the store owner’s son . . . Grady Worth.
Grady isn’t quite sure why he can’t get along with Clementine, but every time they’re together, all they do is bicker. When his widowed dad proposes a contest to encourage Grady to find love, Clementine is the last person Grady considers as an option.
As a stalker begins to make dangerous threats to Clementine and Grady, the two are left with little choice but to pretend to be engaged and travel together to lure the stalker into revealing himself. Stuck together, they soon find that switching from enemies to lovers might not be so bad after all . . . until the danger finally catches up to them.

Reviews for Wishing for the Rancher’s Love
- Carolyn: The wonderful High Country Ranch series, featuring the Colorado Oakley siblings comes to a close with this enjoyable, touching addition. The story piqued my interest from the beginning and held my attention for the entire story.
- Audrey: You can’t go wrong with a good enemies to lovers… especially when they’re clearly in love and in denial. Now, throw in a stalker! If you like a book with banter, this one will not disappoint!
- Jessica: I loved this book so much and didn’t want to put it down. The tension and passion between Clementine and Grady was so good! There were so many good kissing scenes, so you won’t be disappointed.
- Alyssa: I just LOVED the mystery and suspense around Clementine’s stalker. Oohh it kept me turning the pages for sure. This is something that’s rare in a Jody Hedlund book and I’m here for it if she wants to add more suspense plots in the future.
- Sylvia: Wishing for the Rancher’s Love is suspenseful and so swoony, and wraps up the Oakley family stories well. Clementine and Grady have tons of chemistry and I always love the enemies-to-more trope.
- Abby: Last book in the series, last but not least. I loved this story so much, enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes.
Jody Hedlund is a great writer, she created 2 beautiful characters: Clementine and Grady, loved their personalities and how they complemented each other.
